The sale and distribution of instant result self-testing kits for HIV will be made legal in Scotland (and across the UK) from April 2014. The change presents an opportunity for Scotland to review and significantly improve its overall response to HIV. This report examines what the change in law may mean for Scotland and puts forward a number of recommendations for good practice.
