Generation Zero: Our New Campaign

What is Generation Zero?

We are all now more acutely aware of the impact of global pandemics. But HIV Scotland has been campaigning to end one here in Scotland for over 25 years. We're closer than ever, with all the right tools to do it. Join us as part of the generation that can put an end to the HIV epidemic here in Scotland. It's time to make HIV the conversation, by being part of GENERATION ZERO.

In the next 10 years, we want to achieve a Scotland that has zero new HIV transmissions, zero preventable HIV-related deaths, zero HIV-related stigma and 100% Quality of Life for people living with HIV. We believe that this is ambitious, but within our reach. We truly believe that everyone in Scotland can get involved and be part of the generation that gets us to zero.

TOGETHER, LET'S GET TO:

  • ZERO NEW HIV TRANSMISSIONS
  • ZERO HIV-RELATED STIGMA & DISCRIMINATION
  • ZERO HIV-RELATED DEATHS

How can I help?

You can start the conversation! How often do you think or talk about HIV? The answer may very well be ‘almost never’. And that’s ok! What we’re asking people to do is begin to question what they think they already know, get clued up, and then talk to their friends, family, neighbours, colleagues, baristas, personal trainers – anyone – about what HIV in Scotland in 2020 is really like.

Many people in Scotland are well informed about HIV, but many remain uninformed. Lack of information about the realities of HIV can lead to misunderstanding, fear and stigma. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Sign the pledge to join the conversation.

What are the facts about HIV?

Signing our pledge will mean you'll be first to receive our Pledge Pack, which will contain ideas about how to get the conversation about HIV started, and how to keep it going. But brushing up on the realities of HIV is something you can do now. On our website we have excellent resources, alongside:

Basic Facts, Testing For HIV, Living With HIV, Treating HIV, PrEP, PEP and U=U.
