About Us

The Borders Positive Forum (BPF) is the collective voice of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in the Scottish Borders, manifesting the solidarity, power and unity of an emerging and fast growing HIV patients’ movement worldwide and empowering the HIV community in the Scottish Borders.

What We Do

We aim to capture and amplify the distinct, unique and experienced voice of people living with and affected by HIV, and to champion the fact that this diverse community are often experts at living with HIV.

Our mission is to provide a strong and united patients’ voice to put HIV patients at the heart of regional, national and international healthcare policy and programmes.

We are committed to being non-judgemental and non-discriminatory in our actions, as well as communicating clearly and inclusively. Furthermore, everything that we do will be true the experience of those living with HIV and will be agreed upon by those that are members of the BPF. The forum should be positive and inspiring and understands the importance of respecting confidentiality and anonymity.
